Coach Marsden has been fortunate to sport the Maple Leaf around the world with Team Canada. In addition to assisting with multiple Men's Senior A Team camps, he has lead the Junior National Team, National B Team and FISU Games teams. These experiences have taken him to Bulgaria, Mexico, India, Thailand, Slovenia & the US.

Currently the Head Coach of the Olds College Broncos, Coach Marsden has over 20 years of College and University coaching experience. Previous teams include University of Alberta, Mount Royal, SAIT, and University College of the Cariboo (TRU)

Provincial Teams hold a special place in Coach Marsden's heart. He thrives on bringing the Province's best athletes together for the summer to compete. He has not only guided Alberta's youth to Canada Cup Gold and a USA National Championship, but also won the first ever Gold Medal for Alberta in Mens Volleyball at the 2009 Canada Games.

Earlier in his career, club was a big part of Coach Marsden's life. He started the Park Volleyball club in 1997 and ran it until he left Sherwood Park in 2001. Once settled in Calgary, Ryan coached with Canuck Stuff, Dinos, 403 Selects, Elite West, and Canada West Volleyball Clubs. His teams won Provincial Championships in 2000, 2004, 200

Coaching the High School Varsity Boys team at Salisbury Comp. High School started it all. Not far out of high school himself, Coach Marsden took the reigns in 1997 and by 1998 were league champions. Igniting the fire that has lead to a long and successful career, Ryan has stayed loyal to his roots and given back to the community helping coach his kids' Jr. & High school teams when possible.

Above volleyball will always be faith and family for Coach Marsden. Him and his wife have raised 4 kids. All of them played post-secondary sport in either volleyball, soccer or track & field. Ryan is a sport parent and knows what it's like to raise active kids.
Now a proud Grandpa, he spends all his spare time by A-Skye's side.
